The X Factor: This project is the biggest kept secret on Cosmos filled with big brain developers. They've actually developed their own NFT marketplace and is the first to do so at such a professional level in Cosmos that makes Stargaze look like child's play.

They've also developed their own decentralized raffle platform based on randomized logic where you can create your own prizes and giveaway. (Imagine minting a rekt bull for 50 dollars and raffling it at 1 dollars per ticket at 200 max entry. If that completely fills with people unwilling to pay 50 dollars for a mint, the original owner would have now pocketed 150 dollars minus minting expenses and the new owner would have gotten their bull for 1 dollar.)

Time and $ commitment? 10,000 apes were available and all minted at 60 EVMOS initially which was around $150 at that time. The floor price is now 54.
Team & Capabilities: They are run by 8 team members of whom most are fullstack developers. They are planning and have mostly already built a entire ecosystem around these apes.
Lore & Storytelling: Apes have finally ascended into space and colonizing different platform via EVM on evmos. An NFT-Based Idle play-to-earn game based on the lore of the Orbital Apes, run fully on-chain. Join one of the 6 Elder factions in their journey to conquer the Cosmos. Breed, Terraform, Raid, and become a Mercenary while earning crypto rewards and exclusive NFTS!
Quality of Communication: They launched the project during the worst of the market downturn in march/april but have been able to keep a large number of believers in them. Discord is about 10k strong.
Engagement Initiatives: They've held around 6 AMAs so far and constantly engaging their community with potential airdrops or giveaways.
Timeline & Delivery: Their roadmap includes building out the first NFT marketplace on the chain, a decentralized raffle platform, partnering with big names projects coming in up in Cosmos to airdrop to their holders, building out a defi ecosystem, and building out a P2E game. They accomplished pretty much all they've set out to work on this year and now working on their game. I would have to say they overdelivered.
Utility: Massive utility from their apes and the most noticeable one is receiving 20% Fees of any NFT projects listed and sold on their market to Apes holders. Holders also get daily Evmos rewards based on how many they hold. For example, I'm currently holding 5 and receive .5 evmos daily which is worth about 80 cents based on current prices. As the largest EVMOS validator they have also partnered with a ton of different projects Cosmos where either holding their apes or delegating to their validator will reap a ton of airdrops. They've also developed their own token $OAV which is used to mint exclusive limited time NFTs from their store or to be used in the defi ecosystem they're building out.
Art or Graphic design: Subjectively the art has a unique futuristic style that doesn't really cater to my taste like rekt wolf/bulls does.
Score : If BAYC is A+, I would honestly give Orbital Apes a A-. The total package they're building out is unrivaled to any nft project not in the YUGA ecosystem. It's actually more fair to compare them to Yuga Labs itself then just a single project in BAYC imo.
