Derby Stars
Derby Stars is a P2E game horse racing originally from Terra blockchain that after the crash migrated to Polygon. Roadmap has been paused and it’s planned to be released in August 2022.
The game will have a dual token economy model; governance token and utility token to motivate users with in-game rewards. Players can participate in races to win prizes, they can also breed, train and trade their horses.
What’s interesting about Derby Stars is that users don’t just ride and run, they can train and raise their horses in a variety of ways. Winning races isn’t the only way to earn money, you can receive rewards through training and breeding as well.

The X Factor
Derby Stars was a Blue Chip NFT project on Terra and the game wasn’t even launched. They conducted 3 different mints, all of them sold out ending up with a supply of 10.000 NFTs. Around 70% of them already migrated to Polygon (no deadline) and are waiting for the game to launch.
The project had a successful seed round of $6M USD which makes you think the Terra crash didn’t affect them as much as it did to other projects, it seems they have the resources to start over in Polygon from where they left in Terra.
Time and money commitment
Since the game isn’t yet released, there is no real info about how much time you need to dedicate to the game, but we know there will be different game modes and I believe not all of them will demand the same amount of time, you might be able to choose which suits you more.
Regarding money, you need to have a NFT to play - floor price = 218 USD - if not, you will be able to rent it, the cost of it TBD.
